Job Description
LOOKING FOR A NEW CHALLENGE?
Top quality hotel located within the heart of Cumbria would like to appoint a Pastry Chef for its quality hotel restaurant.
The role:
The ideal candidate will be experienced and professional. High motivation skills and the desire to progress in their career with a quality establishment, excellent prospects for the right candidate, good craft skills also are a must. The chefs pride themselves on using fine local produce, cooked simply and priced sensibly . The hotel also provides meals for functions for up to 120 covers and you would be expected to produce the pastry dishes for the functions.
Your duties will include:
- To run the pastry section on a day to day basis
- Assist in menu planning
- Working with fresh produce
- Ensure the correct standards are in place and if not, to redirect and control.
- To develop the junior pastry chefs
- Reporting to the Head Chef

Qualifications/Experience required:
Previous Pastry Chef, experience of 2-3 years in quality establishments with a minimum of 1 AA Rosettes. Must have NVQ level 1&2 or equivalent and a full understanding of food safety and hygiene. Applicants must be well presented and have a stable CV with good references.
