Job Description
This 3 star hotel, located in Cumbria, is looking to recruit an experienced and motivated sous chef for its rosette-accredited restaurant.
The right candidate will be a team player with a practical approach, with the experience to be able to deputise and take control in the Head Chef\'s absence. It is essential that applicants have experience in both fine dining and volume cooking. The Head Chef is looking for a Sous Chef who is experienced in all areas of the kitchen and is a true all rounder.
The head chef is looking to recruit a sous chef with a Rosette accredited background, and good quality experience is essential to the role. The ideal candidate will be ambitious, enthusiastic, hard working and a strong team player, with good financial acumen. You should have the ability to take charge, and be looking to better yourself. This establishment is also offering free live-in.
Reporting to the Head Chef
Must have NVQ level 1&2 or equivalent and a full understanding of food safety and hygiene. Applicants should have worked at Sous Chef level before in a quality establishment, preferably with rosette accreditation. The Head Chef is looking for an all rounder so it is important that all applicants are skilled in all areas of the kitchen. Applicants must be well presented and have strong leadership skills.
In line with the requirements of the Asylum & Immigration Act 1996, all applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK. Documented evidence of the eligibility will be required from candidates as part of the recruitment process.
