Top quality busy gastro pub set in the idyllic Lakeland Inn - seeking a confident and quality focused sous chef!

This beautiful country inn is nestled in some of the most spectacular Cumbrian countryside, close to the national parks. Having recently benefited from a refurbishment it has proven to be a fabulous success with both locals and visitors to the area.

The inn prides itself on producing the best in fresh and locally sourced dishes.

Duties of this Sous Chef position will include: * Ensuring standards are maintained and bettered at all times * Successful running of the kitchen in the head chef\'s absence. * Motivating and leading the brigade to achieve excellent results * Developing dishes and menu ideas * Assisting the Head Chef with ordering, stock control, GPs, costings when required to do so * Recruitment * Ensuring Health and Safety legislation is adhered to at all times

The working pattern for this Sous Chef position will be five days out of seven with a combination of straight and split shifts, as the business requires.

Sous Chef will be reporting to the Head Chef.

Candidates for this great Sous Chef position will be well experienced in working in high quality establishments and have proven ability to maintain quality standards whilst dealing with large volumes. You must have great culinary and leadership skills with a determination to achieve high standards. You must be able to motivate you team to succeed and support the Head Chef to ensure excellent service.
